How rrrewind got TechCrunched

Good and insightful post, with stats about the amount of traffic received. Even just before New Year, when everyone was presumably on holiday, TechCrunch brought in almost 10'000 visitors over 3 days (but this spike also includes a Hacker News post, so I would estimate the amount of actual TechCrunch traffic at about 7-8'000 confirmed).

It's a good story, and the author, Roberto Martinez draws some conclusions from the experience. The most important one is that TechCrunch is more useful as a source of early credibility and links than as a source of raw traffic.
