Be careful with community support for early startups  

The prolific Paras Chopra has produced another interesting article, published on SupportBee's blog. In it, he makes the point that using community support platforms like GetSatisfaction or UserVoice can in fact hurt your startup. The reasons are:

  • Community support feels impersonal, and a personal touch is essential for young startups
  • Customers can negatively influence each other
  • Competition can study your customers and spy on you
